robinwest sent me the Chicago Tribune article on how giant penguins may once have roamed in Peru, and

ladykoori sent me the illustrated Discovery Channel version (pic copied above). It's probably a good thing they're extinct or my son would want to move to Peru to get one as a pet!

You should come see my myspace page. I think it's http://myspace.com/linwand. If not, use the proper name and do a search. I've devoted my spot there to spread the word about penguins, get folks interested so that as many folks that can would help preserve them.

Next week, I intend to post my penguin adoption page and so we'll see how that goes over. Keeping fingers crossed just in case. :)

Oh, and notice how the Buff pengie looks a lot like a shag. Interesting.

Have friended you there (I'm cruisedirectr without the o). But how come your profile is set to private? Hard to spread the word if people can't see it!

Thanks for noticing that privacy thing. I thought that I had taken care of that, but one slip of the mouse and I had pegged the "no one under 18" slot. Now, it's cool. I went back in and changed it. You're right. Not much good if people don't see the beauty and the lives that are at risk.
